Constellation Article for Horizons Newsletter

general, nasa Add comments

I wrote an article on the vehicles of the Constellation Program for the June 2008 issue of the Houston AIAA chapter’s monthly newsletter and our sister section in Toulouse, France.  If you aren’t familiar with the Orion crew vehicle, the Ares launch vehicles, and the Altair lander, feel free to take a look!

You can find it in PDF format at the Horizons website.

If all goes according to plan, the new Houston Chronicle blog on spaceflight and astronomy - Cosmo.Sphere - will be launching tomorrow.  I’ll be the contributing author on spaceflight and exploration, so I’ll be sure to share the link here as soon as I get clearance from the Chronicle’s science writer, Eric Berger.  I hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Great! Looking forward to reading more from you there.

Thanks! I’ve had a chance to look at the intro posts at Cosmo.Sphere and I think ya’ll will like it.

I see it’s up and running today. Too bad the Chronicle insists on registration before a comment can be posted. Is there anything that can change that? I’m sure having an open forum in a widely read daily newspaper is a great P.R. opportunity. At least this one is open to everyone. Can’t wait to see the responses (and maybe even voice my own thoughts.) P.S. New launch dates posted today!

I think that’s a function of the blogging software the Chronicle uses for multiple-user blogs, Lucie. I can ask, but I don’t think that will change any time soon. I certainly look forward to your thoughts.
