“We Value Your Feedback”

No seriously. We do. Want proof? Check out the “feedback” button we added to openNASA.com.

OpenNASA is an experiment in transparency, collaboration, participation, accessibility, and honesty. Central to everyone of these things is “feedback.” We have always appreciated feedback and encourage you to share your ideas but recognize that sometimes it’s not clear how to best give it. So we implemented the “feedback” button.

Here’s four ways you can use it:

1. Share ideas you have for NASA

Do you have ideas for NASA? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We’ve always wanted to create a place where people could share their ideas for NASA, and we’ve finally done that! Have thoughts on what we should do with NASA.gov? What about thoughts on the future missions to the Moon? We want to hear from you!

2. Share ideas for openNASA 2.0.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be refreshing the openNASA site. We have a number of features we plan to implement on the site, but these are only our ideas. We want to know what YOUR ideas are. What functionality would make the site better? What features would you like us to implement? Help us out!

3. Share ideas for the NASA transition team

As we mentioned previously on openNASA.com we have a huge opportunity right now to provide input to the President-elect Obama via change.gov. We’d like to both encourage you to submit feedback on change.gov as well as give you an opportunity to share your ideas here on openNASA. Lets provide the transition team with feedback on what our hopes and dreams are for NASA!

4. Share ideas for topics to be discussed on openNASA
This is a collaborative blog written by NASA employees across the agency, and occasional invited guests. We come from a unique perspective and have insight into is happening inside the U.S. space program – but so do you, and it is something to be shared and discussed. What do you want to read about? What type of information are you interested in? Lets talk about it!

The site needs a left margin, especially with the feedback button because it covers some of the text.

Rog, thanks for the suggestions. We’ll add it to the list for the next version of the site.

Rog, you might want to try viewing the site in Mozilla until Skytland has a chance to fix this. I can make the page wide enough so that the “feedback” button doesn’t cover up the text.

I moved the feedback button to the right side of the screen until we refresh the site. This will hopefully be better until then.
