NASA captures stunning pictures of Earth
Not only did I think some of ya’ll would appreciate the imagery, it’s also an opportunity to brag a little about my new job. My office – Space Operations RPO – sponsors the Crew Earth Observations project that provided Photos 4, 8, 9, and 12.

The following image is one of my favorites taken by the astronauts on the ISS. These are noctilucent clouds, a phenomenon which we are only just beginning to understand because they are at such high altitude and so difficult to see from the ground. Some scientists believe they may be an indicator of climate change, as their observation was not recorded before the Industrial Revolution and is on the rise.
