		<description>i totaly agree--that is where NASA has gone wrong in the past.  In the early &#039;60s NASA was the news.  In todays age, NASA is just one part of the news and there are differant ways of getting out information to the public.  Facebook, Myspace, etc are social media and let people know and care about other people.  All the politicans and media stars have facebook pages--look at the president.  If NASA wants to connect with these people then it has to do a better job of telling the backstory of its astronuats.  If we the American people are spending billions of dollars on HSF, then part of the job of NASA is to communicate with the taxpayers.  If you NASA&#039;s does not communicate and wants more money, that will not happen.  My reaction would be why?</description>

		<description>Excellent post. I think that it is interesting that public outreach is not considered mission critical. Without the support of the public, there will be no mission- that&#039;s how crucial it is. People often forget that.</description>
