You are not alone in struggling with overachieving. I think it&#039;s a downside of people who are really passionate about particular subjects or career paths. We get so caught up in what we are doing--and doing that perfectly--that we lose track of why we are doing it. Or alternately we can become one-dimensional, where our goals/career become the only thing that matter and when those things are blocked, we experience intense frustration. There are a lot of folks going through this at NASA right now. It requires a great deal of soul searching to recall, again, who we are and why we do what we do. Good luck in your quest.
